First ride the Loople Sendai and visit Zuihoden Mausoleum, the grave of Lord DATE Masamune. Get off at the Sendai City Museum/ Sendai International Center/ Sendai Ryokusaikan Visitor Center stop, then change to the subway and travel to Mutsu-Kokubunji Temple and Yakushido Hall, which was ordered to be rebuilt by DATE Masamune. It is one of the oldest existing wooden buildings in Sendai, and a designated important cultural asset, and to the five temples of Kitayama, which are connected to the DATE family and guard the Kimon Gate of Sendai Castle.

Visiting Museums in Sendai
There are many museums located along the Loople Sendai route that are just right for learning something new. First, get on the Tozai Subway Line from Sendai Station and visit the Sendai City Museum, which houses some historic materials that are connected to the DATE family. Next, get on the Loople Sendai from the International Center Subway Station stop and go to the Sankyozawa Water Power Plant, the oldest hydroelectric power plant in Japan. The Plant still generates electricity today! Following this, get back on the Loople Sendai and ride to the Jozenji-dori Ave/ Sendai City Hall stop. Change here to the Namboku Subway Line and head to the 3M Sendai City Science Museum. This impressive building looks like it is from the future. At the Science Museum there are hands-on experience areas interactive displays. Why not try visiting and enjoying the museums of Sendai?
