The International Center Station commands a view blending the natural beauty of both Hirose River and Mt. Aoba. With Sendai International Center, Tohoku University Kawauchi Campus, Miyagi Museum of Art, Sendai City Museum and the Site of Sendai Castle all located nearby, the station is a hub for international culture and tourism conventions. The upper floor of the station building also has a multi-purpose area that can be used, Sendai Aobayama Community Square on the north side of the station, which can be used for a diverse range of events, in addition to housing a large car park.
